Documents Authentication for
Adoption in China |
| In odder to adopt Chinese children in China, American
citizens or foreigners residing in US (hereinafter referred to as the adopter)
shall prepare the a number of documents. These documents must be authenticated
by Chinese Consulate in the United States before they are sent to China. |

VisaRite
Service Inc can obtain document authentication on your behalf only if you
live in one of following states: Connecticut, Maine, Ohio, Massachusetts,
New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. |

STEP 1 - Prepare Following Documents |
| (1) Adoption Application(a letter to adopt). Stating
a clear desire to adopt a Chinese child and specifically state that the
adoptive child will be raised and educated in a healthy way. |

| (2) Birth Certificate(s) of adopter(s) . |
| |
| (3) Marriage Certificate (if applicable). |
| |
| (4) Documents attesting to single status (for single
adopter). The unmarried shall submit statement to show that they are unmarried
and they are not homosexuals. The divorced shall submit their divorce decree
of their previous marriage. The bereft spouse shall submit the certificate
of the death of their spouse. |

| (5) Certificates of profession. "Unemployed"
applicants must submit a statement of unemployment. Retired applicants must
submit a statement of retirement. |

| (6) Financial Statement. |
| |
| (7) Health examination certificate(s). |
| |
| (8) Proof of no criminal record (police report). |
| |
| (9) Certificate of child adoption approval by the competent
authorities of the United States (INS Approval: I171H). |

| (10) Family background report (Home Study), including
the status of the adoption applicant, the qualification and appropriateness
of the adoption, family conditions, health history, adoption motive and
features suitable for the care of the child. Attach to the home study report:
A copy of the agency license, a copy of the agreement between International
Adoption Agency and the Agency and the Agency conducting the home study,
and a copy of a guardianship statement for single adopters. |

| Every document should be authenticated separately by the Secretary of
State |

Put all following items together in one package
The original notarized and authenticated documents, and a copy
of each document.
One clearly and completely filled "Application Form for
Authentication ".
Copy of the passport or photo ID of the applicant.
In cases of commercial authentication, a copy of the company’s
license or proof of good standing of the company are required.
Check or money order payable to VisaRite Service Inc to cover
the total cost. |

Remarks |
The processing time is Consulate processing time and doesn't include the
return shipping time.
Above fee including the Consulate fee, VisaRite service fee, and return
shipping fee by FedEx/UPS.
Currently VisaRite only provide the document authentication service to applicants
live in following states: Connecticut; Maine; Ohio; Massachusetts; New Hampshire;
New Jersey; New York; Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont. |
