for U.S. born children to PRC parents

Effective Feb 22, 2008, you must apply for China Travel Document in person. Policy may change after the Olympic Games.

STEP 1 - Make Sure You Are Qualified

US born children to Chinese parents

Parent are neither U.S. permanent residents nor U.S. citizens

STEP 2 - Put Together Application Materials

(1) Both parent's Chinese passport
	You must send in original passports.

	(2) Child's birth certificate
	Need Original or notarized copy. How to obtain a notarized copy?

(3) The Travel Permit Application Form H-1 (Do not use pencil or pen with red ink.)

(4) Four recent passport-type photos (Color photo only, computer print-out not acceptable)

STEP 3 - Apply in person at Chinese Consulate in your jurisdiction
