Chinese Visa Policy Update: Chinese
visa policy has been tightened recently due to the security concern of upcoming
Olympic Games. Multiple Entry Visa is now under tight control and is issued
mostly to repeat visitors. Round-trip flight itinerary and hotel reservation
is now required. Business visitors are required to provide a "Visa
Notification Form" issued by a Chinese authorized unit.
Duration of stay allowed now is most likely to be 30 - 60 days. Non-US passport
may only apply for a single entry visa. More restriction has been introduced
for non-US passport holder. The policy is expected to be relaxed after the
Olympic Games in August. |
